A neighbourhood association manages a shared garden. New volunteers attend a short orientation before receiving a gate code. Each volunteer is expected to complete at least two maintenance shifts per month between March and October. People who are temporarily unable to do physical work may help with scheduling or communications instead.
Harvested produce is divided between volunteers and a local food bank. The exact division depends on the weekly harvest and is decided by the coordination team. Chemical pesticides are not permitted. Private events may be held in the garden only with prior approval and must end by 8 p.m.
